Country Description

A major safari destination. Rich in natural resources, being the world's third-largest diamond producer and possessing the second-largest coal reserves in Africa (an estimated 210 billion tonnes). Uranium, copper and shale gas are also abundant in the country. The Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) is among the best performing stock exchanges in Africa.
