Country Description

One of the chief exporter of coffee as well as cotton and tin ore. Producer of columbium (niobium) and tantalum ore, tin ore, and tungsten ore, and some deposits of gold designated for export. Burundi cotton is a highly appreciated produce because of its quality. Export goods include coffee, tea, sugar, cotton, hides. Main food crops are maize, sorghum, sweet potatoes, banana, beans, cassava, taro, palm oil, meat
